Arbor Day
Each year, the Village holds a commemorative tree planting ceremony on Arbor Day the last Friday in April. A tree planting ceremony is held at various locations. For the past 25-years, the Village has earned Tree City USA recognition from the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Trees can lower heating and cooling costs, increase the value of your home, produce oxygen, and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The Village has a full-time Forestry Division which provides a Brush Pickup Program, contractual and in-house tree trimming programs, wood chip deliveries, and tree care advice.
You can read more about these programs in the Services section of our website. Click here to go to the Public Works section.
